Chris Hess's iconic Five Gaiter mold was made in this bold chestnut from 1963 to 1986.  He features a honey-colored body and a mane and tail so dark, he's nearly a bay.  He wears an airbrushed bald face, four socks, and white ribbons with red X's on them.

This fellow is in Very Good to Excellent condition with great restoration potential.  He has a tiny rub on his right nostril, an even tinier one on his right neck, eartip, tail tip, and hoof edge rubs, and just a few pinpoint ones on his body.  He does, however, have quite a few pinpoint specks and tiny marks, mainly on his left side, and an overall dusty appearance.  He'd love to get a home with someone who will give him a good soaking and work on removing those marks.  He has mild age yellowing, but it doesn't detract from him, because it works well with his color.  He is an older boy, with no USA mark, a hand-painted tail dock edge, unglossed eyes with unpainted eye whites, and a mostly white ribbon that has just thin, faint red criss-crosses on it.  He retains the ribbon tip on the crest of his mane.
