Breyer's attempt at recognizing Native American tribes continued in 1992 with this release, called Lakota Pony, on the Foundation Stallion. The grey stallion is decorated in blue with white spots, supposedly for protection, and each was given one of four different "war paint" symbols. This one wears three red stripes or bars across his nose, which translates into "coup."
This fellow is Near Mint with only hoof rubs keeping him from Mint. He features more tan-grey body shading than I've seen on any other, making him fully grey rather than white, and has hand-painted "swoosh" spots in his white areas. He even comes with his original hang tag.
Size: Traditional
Breyer Model #869
