Storm Cloud was part of Marx's iconic Johnny West toy line. He was a dark brown or black pinto on the Thunderbolt mold, created to be ridden by an Indian rider. As such, he wore what was known as an Indian bridle and a blanket with a rope cinch. Storm Cloud was retired in 1975. Since this saddle blanket was only released with Storm Cloud, and because they were made of a stretchy rubber that often tore, melted, or went missing. they are almost impossible to find today!
This is a rare piece of vintage Marx tack is in amazingly Near Mint condition for its age! These are super fragile, with their thin rubber "rope" cinches. When left on a horse for many years, most melt right into the horse's plastic, but this one has not. It's a rare opportunity to find one in such great condition! It will be packed carefully to hold its shape during shipping.
