Locarno 62 was a dark bay Holsteiner born in 1996, who was a well-known show jumper in the UK. When he was sold at auction at age 5 in Germany, he broke sales records for a jumper of that age when he sold for 1 million Euros. He went on to represent Great Britain twice at the Senior European Championships, leading Britain and bringing home the bronze medal in 2007. An injury prevented him from competing in the Olympics, but after retiring he went on to become a renowned sire.

Locarno 62 was honored with this portrait model as a Special Run only available in the UK from December, 2007-2008, right after his medal win at the European Championships. We don't know how many were produced, but they are extremely rare to find!
This fellow is Near Mint with only slight yellowing in his socks. He has a tiny black shading smudge in his left front sock. He features soft highlights, a neatly masked stripe and eye whites. He even comes with his bio card and label sticker from his original box. He stands well, but this mold is always tippy, so we recommend Museum Putty or a Horse Safety Rack to keep him safely upright.
