Eros was an Australian-bred chestnut Thoroughbred with a birdcatcher spot on his left flank who rose to stardom as part of the Silver medal-winning US Equestrian Team at the Atlanta, Georgia Olympics. He was trained and ridden by Anne Kursinski, who said of Eros: “He was probably one of the last great Thoroughbred grand prix horses... He was so light, just like a bird. He was an incredible athlete and so smart and so in tune with me.” He remained with Anne for the rest of his long lifetime, living to be 33 years old.

Eros was chosen by USET to be their fundraising portrait model for 1999. They chose the Phar Lap mold for him (since Phar Lap was also an Australian-bred Thoroughbred), and the model includes his shoulder brand, birdcatcher spot, and star. Only 1500 were made.
This fellow is Near Mint, marked down only for slight age yellowing in his star, which you can reverse with a couple days of sunbathing. No rubs or marks were seen. He features pretty coloring and neatly masked brands and birdcatcher spot.
