Willow and Shining Star were a Special Run set only available through "Just About Horses" magazine in 1995. To receive one, subscribers had to mail a check to Breyer with the order form from the magazine. Only 5,000 were made. The set includes a Native American Indian rider called Willow, dressed in blue and white satin outfit with embroidery, beads, and fringe, and matching headband and braid ties. Her bay Appaloosa Stallion Shining Star (who looks like a mini of Ponokah Eemetah) wears a black leather halter with red browband and noseband and an attached lead line.
Horse is Near Mint with only mild age yellowing marking him down - No rubs were seen. These always have overspray into their blankets, so there's less yellowing than he appears to have.
Rider and accessories are all Factory Mint and very likely never even displayed. Bands that had tied her braids have disintegrated with time. I have added white thread ties to hold the braids neatly.
