Sagr - Original Release

Riding in on the heels of The Black Stallion book and movie, "The Black Stallion Returns" was one of the horse genre's most successful sequels.  Breyer even had Chris Hess create three new sculpts to represent the main characters:  The Black, Sagr the big, bold chestnut stallion and Johar the pretty grey mare.  They were sold in a special carrying case box with a plastic handle, and made from 1983-1993.  Finding the models in good condition can be a challenge, since they were shipped crammed together with nothing but plastic bags around each of them. 

Sagr is Near Mint with only four pinpoint rubs: forehead, right neck, left barrel, left shoulder, and mild yellowing, which you can correct with some time spent sunbathing.  He features a neat, vintage paint job with four over-sprayed socks and hooves and unglossed eyes.
