This is a really sweet, old lamp made by Gramp's Lamps in Scottsdale, Arizona, probably in the late 1970s to early 1980s. It features an original Silky Sullivan attached to a clear pine base with the addition of a hand-crafted fence. The UL-listed lamp is mounted on a brass pole and includes a burlap shade with decorative trim. Base stands on tiny wood ball feet and is stamped with the maker's name and address underneath. The cord is intact, flexible and carries a polarized plug. It will be shipped without a light bulb for safety. Shade simply fits onto a bulb, so shade will be wrapped separately.
Horse is in Excellent condition with a tiny rub on his right shoulder, tiny muzzle and eartip rubs, a pinpoint rub on his right hind pastern, and a hairline unpainted area in the seam along his back. His star and sock are almost completely oversprayed, typical for that era. He features unglossed eyes. This is a neat vintage piece that carries its history in the stamp under the base. The lamp works, and was UL listed when made, but as with all vintage wiring, we recommend keeping it unplugged or rewiring it for use with a polarized plug.
It will require a fairly large box, so shipping will reflect that, because we want to insure it arrives to you safely.
[Light bulb not included.]
