The year 2000 marked Breyer's 50th anniversary, and they celebrated with an updated version of their first piece: A mantle clock with horse standing over it. This was the initial release for the American Saddlebred Stallion. He was given a palomino coat just like the original (Western Horse) clock horse. He was mounted over a lovely wood mantle clock with a brass plate announcing him to be the "Breyer 50th Anniversary Limited Edition American Saddlebred." He was pricey at the time, and limited to only that year's production.
This fellow is Factory Mint with bright whites and foot pegs intact. Clock is Near Mint with a tiny scratch on top. Set comes complete with COA, clock instructions, paperboard picture box and foam inserts... Just like you'd gotten it new!
These nearly never come up for sale these days, having disappeared into collections where they are often an iconic centerpiece.
