Known today as Phantom Wings, this mold was originally called Stock Horse Foal and was produced first in black Appaloosa from 1978 to 1982.

If your horse is missing his box, here's your chance to get one for him.  It's great to have in your collection, important for showing, and can increase the value if you ever decide to sell him.

This box rates Excellent to Near Mint, with its most visible issue being the discolored area on the front where a Breyer paper number tag once was adhered.  Otherwise, it shows only very minor wear, and still feels strong and crisp. It even comes with the plastic bag the model would have been wrapped in.  Box will be folded flat for safe shipping.

The (now gone) number sticker indicates this box probably held a different color release than shown on the cover... Which is interesting, because there were only three colors made during the time this style box was used:  The black Appy (which wouldn't have needed a paper number sticker, since his number is printed on the box front), the chestnut Appy, which had been made for years and should have had plenty of his own boxes... and the very earliest Phantom Wings.  It's quite possible that Phantom Wings boxes weren't ready yet, or that there were extras of this box, so an early Phantom Wings came packaged in this box.  Fun Breyer history!

This box was donated to our charity account for Harvest Hills Animal Shelter, and proceeds from its sale will help the shelter care for dogs and kitties in need.  Thanks for your support!
